Our School

   Our school consists of two large four story single family homes or “villas”. One is used as the residence for the family that runs the school, the teachers, for foreign guests studying here & for people wishing to live in Haikou or only visit for a week or two. The other villa is where the school office, recreation rooms, study centers & classrooms are. They share a common courtyard where one can comfortably relax in the shade & enjoy the peace and quiet of this secluded neighborhood located in the northern district of Haikou.

   The environment and facilities the villas offer are very unique in China, a quiet, beautiful and excellent environment for study. The classrooms, study rooms and offices are all air-conditioned and comfortably furnished. The school boasts state of the art teaching equipment, which includes: multimedia computers with high-speed broad band Internet connections, copy machines, printers, TVs with DVD players and all other necessities required to provide lessons that work. In addition to the plush accommodations and high-tech equipment, the school also has a dedicated staff with vast experience and knowledge in the area of Chinese language study.

   Our teachers are all professional, experienced educators, they specialize in teaching standard Chinese, or Mandarin, to native English speaking peoples from around the world, with a full understanding of the difficulties encountered by those without a lifetime of learning to read and write using characters instead of roman letters and also the differences in grammar & sentence structure between Chinese and English. Our staff is skilled in assessing an individual's language proficiency and are prepared to concentrate on the language problems for each student.
